I need help - I have asked this question before, but the solutions I have been given have proved to not work.
I operate my scanners in the same room as my computer. It is a small room approximately 12" x 24". I am having an awful time with my BC248clt getting interference from my computer's monitor. I know it is the monitor because the interference stops when I am in DOS or if the monitor is turned off. It is currently sitting across the room from the computer (approx 7-8 feet) and I can't get it any further away from it.
I have been told to put tin foil around the antenna connection at the back of the scanner - to get an outdoor antenna (which is not possible at this time) - I have gotten a car antenna and put it on the other side of my room in the window. I have tried everything.
Any other ideas? I know that the majority of everyone here must have an scanner in the same room as their computer - what have you done to beat this problem?
Thanks
Brandon
