Last night, I found a great web site with the official PAC NW forest fire mobilization plan.
http://www.or.blm.gov/nwcc/
You will want to poke around several areas on this site, and here are some of the things you can get:
1) download a 3+ MB file with the current firefighting plan. It has a list of every FS, BLM, etc. offices with their frequencies and PL tones. See especially Chapters 50, 20, and 80. Some of these PDF files are about 100 pages! Also lists of various aircraft and where they are headquartered.
2) There is also a daily incident summary (two of them actually available each morning) that shows what fires are being fought and what 'assets' (people, helos, air tankers, etc) are being used and the status of each aircraft. So, if you hear AirTanker 67, you'll know they are out of Moses Lake. This daily incident summary is much more detailed than the National Incident Summary.
3) From the Logistics Support page, be sure to print the 3 pages of the NW Dispatch Office Map. Like most gov't agencies, Forest Service, etc. uses lots of acronyms and abbreviations. You'll need this list to better understand the PDF documents in the NW Mobilization Plan.
4) Poke around a little more in the document library and you can find minutes of their Dispatcher's workshop, which has some other frequencies not published in the PDF and also discusses certain issues of concern to dispatchers.
5) What I can't find is a document called NWC...it is supposed to have the frequencies in the firefighter handhelds. When you read the PDFs you will see some references to NWC plus chapter and verse so anyone who finds it, please let us know.
