The JAWBN 6 Arrival is what is called a STAR (Standard Terminal Arrival Route) by the FAA. Basically its function is to transition a commercial flight from the en route stage of flight to arrival and approach. There are five for Seattle (CHINS 2-- from SE, center freq 120.3; EPH4-- Ephrata Four, from the east, center freq 135.52; JAWBN 6-- from N, NW, W; GLASR3-- Glacier Three, from the east, northeast; center freq 135.52; OLM2-- Olympia Two, from the south, center freq 126.6). Those freqs are the channels the flights are on just prior to Seattle Approach.
