I think the term you heard was PS OPS. I believe this is the acronym for the Region PS OPS talk groups. There are four of these:
62928 Region PS OPS North 1; 62960 Region PS OPS North 2; 62992 Region PS OPS South 1; 63024 Region PS OPS South 2.

I have heard these talkgroups used after a bank robbery when the robber is moving around with the robbery detection radio system transmitter still unknowingly buried deep within the stolen property.

As best I can tell, there are receivers located at base stations and in certain vehicles that through the process of triangulation are able to locate the stolen property.

: I was monitoring SPD's West Precinct tonight when a call came over the City Wide TG (3216) calling for a PSAP (Peace-Op as it was pronounced) on Battery street. West Dispatch then requested the David sector sargent to act as PDT Commander. The PSAP talkgroup was dead all night, and I heard nothing further. Any ideas what that means?

: Thanks!
