My company appearently has very strange communication needs. Here's the deal. I'm the operations/branch manager for a Security company that works both in Seattle and Portland. My branch office is in Seattle but our dispatch center is in Portland and we have no plans of building one up here. We have been using Nextel for our radio service for 4 years and, to put it civily, they are not meeting our needs.
What we would prefer is a more standard law enforcment type of system. Like a conventional or trunked system that we can somehow link to our dispatch center in Portland.
This idea has proven particularly difficult for most radio service vendors to even grasp. Much less recommend some sort of real world implimentation.
