: : : : A few years ago I read a book called "The Puzzle Palace" which was about the NSA. In it it mentioned a NSA facility in Brewster, Washington. I thought a little trtip to Brewster to check it out would be a nice summer trip, but I have talked to several people from the Chelan area, an no one knows what I am talking about. Also, I can't find any reference to it anywhere else.
: : : : Anybody know anything about it or if it still around?
: : : : Thanks in advance.
: : : The Place NSA Used to Ocupy was The Satilite Recvieieng Station now closed
: : Just the type of reply you would expect from a NSA agent! :)
: : If your looking for a summer drive to look at antennas, try
: : the Loran C site in George, Washington or the VLF site in Jim Creek,
: : Washington. If your up for a real challenge, try and find the
: : ex-GWEN site (now a GPS correction transmitter site) that is
: : supposed to be in Appleton, Washington. I have never been able to
: : find this baby.
: : The NSA Site in Brewster was a Privately Owened Satilite Recivieng Station That NSA Occupyied a Small Section of The Property They Have Been Gone From There For at Least ten Years, happy Signal Hunting :-)
Thanks for the info Brian. I wasn't sure if it was still around, but didn't I think it would have been packed up so recently (10 years wasn't not too long ago), especially since people I talked to who grewup in Chelan never heard of it.
