They are saying lightforce. I assume you are listening to Bellevue correct.
Bellevue has two lightforce units and they are assigned to Stations 3 and 7. They consist of two pieces of apparatus, an engine and a ladder. So when you hear lightforce 3 Engine and Ladder 3 are being dispatched. Same as when you hear lightforce 7 Engine and Ladder 7 are being dispatched.

Hope this answers your question.

They do this in Calif. L.A. County or L.A. City. You get a Ladder truck without its own pump so a combination Ladder Truck and Engine makes up a Lightforce. Also keep in mind that staffing on a ladder truck should be at least 4 and 4 on an Engine giving you 8 frefighters. On a Lightforce you might only get 4 on the engine and 2 on the ladder or the other way arround.

Bellevue's lightforces consist of two units: a truck and a pump. The engine on the air is referred to as "Pump 3" or "Pump 7." Lightforce 7 is staffed with 5 and Lightforce 3 is typically staffed with 4, sometimes 5.
