Hello, I have an Impress battery PMNN4093A that won't charge, I have a 6 bay charger, not impress. Do I need an impress charger?

A non-impres charger will work but you'll get a longer lifecycle out of the battery with an Impres charger. Get one from ebay and hope its not a counterfeit.

Funny I ran into this issue recently. I have (2) XPR chargers. One of them has newer firmware. I had a battery that I thought was dead and the newer-firmware-charger -- managed to charge it up. The older charger would not.

My battery was the 4491B. I got lucky and found the 4491D revision on E-Bay for 1/4 retail price (it was a genuine, used battery.) By the time I figured out and discovered the firmware issue, I had received the replacement.

For the life of me, I cannot remember which charger was the older unit. I *think* it was the huge model, and the single-unit model was the working one.

I think this is the correct one: https://www.atlanticradiocorp.com/produ ... a-motorola

Ya know it's really interesting to know that all it could be is just firmware, or to the extent of faulty hardware. Mother M makes things difficult. I have an XPR 3300e with the same issue.
