Interesting question; how to balance Freedom of Information (openness) vs PD not being trolled vs rights of people on camera.
Can the PD just set up a server where all footage is available to anyone who signs up instead of having to read/issue written requests for each vid?

Then they'd have to scrub every video before it's posted

As soon as one invents legal flying cars, I would consider moving "over there."

Just took a survey about WSP and LE in general

Image

Later in the survey I found out that WSP is floating around some ideas for new commercials.

B- Way to skew survey results.

Police say scanner helped speeding driver avoid being stopped

Quote:
A police scanner found in his car was broadcasting Washington State Patrol radio communication, which probably is how he avoided other spike strips that had been set, police said.

Waiting for either the "OMG GOD-GIVEN RIGHT TO MONITOR EVERYTHING!!!111" crowd or the sovereign-citizens brigade to chime in...

"A police scanner found in his car was broadcasting Washington State Patrol radio communication."

How do you get your scanner to broadcast?
