My XTL is decoding it just fine here in Bremerton.

Audio quality has improved greatly in the last 24 hours. Same scanner and antenna and the quality sounds quite a bit better.

Here are some samples:

From Wed PM:

http://home.comcast.net/~k7cj/wsp700a.mp3

From Fri AM:

http://home.comcast.net/~k7cj/wsp700b.mp3
http://home.comcast.net/~k7cj/wsp700c.mp3
http://home.comcast.net/~k7cj/wsp700d.mp3

**Pretty sure the Maintenance unit was using a different radio or microphone. His waveform was different than the WSP units or dispatcher.

At least its repeated. I can get maybe 5-10 miles out of a line of sight, simplex 50 watt mobile on P25 before it's signal is gone. I also noticed some areas switched back to 5/8 wave antennas and some of the open coil 800 antennas on troops cars in E Wa are missing.

Potential back-fill for the downtown Seattle stuff?

After a day's worth of monitoring came up with these TGIDs on the 700 Mhz Seattle site:

Heads up...North King County is next tomorrow (12/9). They will switch to the TRS, while VHF goes dead. Wednesday (12/10), they will bring back VHF in P25 mode

Looks like TGID 59208 is the new dispatch frequency. Another interesting point is that the South units are on Phase 2 and the Seattle units are on Phase 1.

Looking at Pro96com live it confirms the Seattle units using FDMA and the South units using TDMA.

In previous testing, some of the cars were affiliating to the VHF site, which doesn't support phase 2. Not sure how that carries over to the 700 side, maybe it doesn't. Or maybe some other units (DOT??) don't have Ph2 radios?

Give it a week or two to stabilize.

Depending on which version of 7.X core they have, you can have mixed Phase I and II call. The site will drop to a FDMA call if needed, while the other sites remain at TDMA.

Yeah it looks like the WSP Seattle units are transmitting to the South Seattle IWN VHF site. I haven't checked yet but I'm guess they're on the North Seattle IWN VHF site too.

It's possible the 700 Mhz site works best for the WSP South units.

It does seem kind of odd to have such a mix though. You would think it'd be simpler to just migrate everyone to P25 first and then Phase 2 later on.
