Dive 12 is the RFD dive team -- as in SCUBA. But they also do swift water operations:

 :D :D I think that "Dive 12" is a rescue diver unit and "Driver 12" is for golf -- or a very large screw driver - with a high powered motor - that Tim the Toolman would use. LOL

Good morning-With all of the responses in mind, the otherday I noted a King County Paramedic Unit marked as M-15. I was going to Fred Meyer and observed him go to station 31 and pull up to the medic quarters there. Is this a new unit or are they renumbering some of the already established units; ie: medic 6 to medic 15. If a new unit can anyone advised where it is based?
Many thanks,
Gampawayne

No, this is not a new medic unit in service, rather it is a specially assigned medic unit--typically put into service for training reasons.

What usually happens is that M-15 and M-17 are both put into service and then they relieve other medic units for training. What you saw was M-15 covering M-6's calls, while they were at training. This way a medic unit can be "out of service" and have an uninterupted training session.

There are a whole host of other medic unit designators that you don't see very often--again used for special purposes. One of them is M100 (used for Pacific Raceway events). Also you may here like M40, M50, etc. This is just the primary backup for each of the units.
