...So all the internet user reports of identified talkgroups on the California statewide Pacific Gas and Electric MPT1327 system are erroneous?

Code:
19:00:36 - GTC  | Go To Channel - Voice          | (010)  Org: 2258  Tar: 6206
                |   Ch: 157  Freq: 217.98125 MHz |

19:00:36 - GTC  | Go To Channel - Voice          | (010)  Org: 2258  Tar: 6206
                |   Ch: 157  Freq: 217.98125 MHz |

The system went very quiet after 7pm.... here's a snippet of a voice hit...

I suppose the ORG is the RadioID and the TAR is the TGID?

Perhaps Sean may know... this is first real active time with a working MPT1327 system.

FYI the TGIDs may be useful in understanding their channel layout but not useful for our scanners. We just have to locate the voice channels and scan them...

I do not understand what really is going on but... This is what seems to work so far... The key somehow is the PL tone and they just remap the same freq range. Unitrunker will take the split bandplan. Trunkview will only take a few custom channels that are used on each site. Multi sites can come active for the same traffic. Are the inputs up 2 Mhz?

Unitrunker
110.9 217.505 .0125 lo 41 - Hi 80 Sys 5239

I don't think there is any "input/output" frequency. I think they transmit on simplex but I could be wrong.

Here's what is shown elsewhere... I haven't confirmed this yet. I get a headache when playing with Trunkview.

Channels 0XX use a Base of 217.0000
Channels 1XX use a Base of 215.7500
Both use Step of 12.5

Elsewhere is seldom correct. This is just what I can see. They don't need to know.

I'll give your band plan a shot. I tried using the logic from Trunkview to determine the sites and it worked to a point. Clearly they are using a split band plan.

I got a close call hit today of electric guys on 217.5400 (110.9).

ETA-This was not .5425 and the signal was quite strong. No license for this freq anywhere in the FCC DB other than a canceled Exxon license.

They're using 6.25khz steps... so it was probably 217.54375

The 110.9 ctcss is PSE.

BTW, companies don't have to license individual frequencies in this band. They can just be licensed for the range and be valid. It's a part of this new AMTS band in 217-218 and 219-220 Mhz.

Also, was not simplex. Dead carrier between transmissions.

MPT is different, but not so different to use Simplex (at least when controlled by a trunking controller)

This is a trunking system, like the others we are accustomed to. It uses repeater(s) (1 each) per channel (voice / control)

Obviously Simplex freqs can be programmed into subscriber units.
