For those who ever read popular communications magazines may of remembered an article where one member of Congress brought up a bill to forbid any American to own a scanner and shortwave radio. Appearingly he had lost and the bill was killed instantly due to lack of support.

From what my local Congressman told me was that it was killed because it would be a violation of our constitutional rights in which also relates to the Free Information Act of 1970. But it does not allow us to use the scanners relating chasing police cars, fire trucks and ambulances or to use what we hear for personal gain nor as an aide to commit crimes.

What's your thought on this?

I've seen The Cordless Drill Team
But I've never heard a band called The Scanners

I wonder what their sound is like

Prob similar to a mix between an EDACs control channel and maybe an old VSB video carrier

Prob very broad band ....
