So to answer Jim I didn't want to threadjack and thought I would just put some rambelings over here...

I still keep tabs on the forum here but life has been crazy with the little spud and all.( more on that later)

I have mostly gone to using my iPad full time as a interface to my digital world in the last few months radio related projects have been heavy on the iPad love. I have set up my home scanners for shoutcast and control via my iPad so I can listen everywhere (not public sorry) as well as converted all my ham radio to echolink connected so I can use them via network. I also set up all my packet nodes to be controlled via tcp so I can keep a shack in the palm of my hand!

have also converted and upgraded my digital interfaces so that in some way they are running on a HTML control link that I have a iOS app that can act as a remote control for all ham radio switching, tuning, ID and the list goes on. Nothing really ground breaking just using nerd technology to the fullest. Check out hamlog app as well I use it for all on air logging now

Other fun radio news I got a tower in the air and thankfully didn't have the antenna on pre ice storm! I hope to get that on the tower in the next months
pix here ..somewhat of the tower project work in progress...

Otherwise just having a blast with the good solar conditions, the cq 10m contest was a hoot worked some serious WAS and DX which I never had done before ...total hoot!

Ice storm took out only a billion branches and my loop, got it back on the air today which was cool. Storm took us out of power for 4 days but with backup power we did good! (I hope everyone here survived with only cheap antenna damage or less!)

Otherwise it's work work work.. Oh yes and the little Spud! He is now 9 months old and has a impressive set of chompers he likes to chomp you with! He is just starting to walk so that is a crazy time. He has also made a few transmissions on VHF I know he is excited for getting a ticket soon!

In a nutshell that is the noteworthy news since last I have seen or ranted in a bbs post! 73 all!

Sounds like you have really been busy.

Thanks for the update.

Glad to see you back on Intercept.

Good luck with your tower project.
