People who own shitbird vehicles need to stay home when it snows. I watched one mazda rear wheel drive who had the equivalent of racing tires trying to make it up a slight uphill, 3 feet from the main road. I handed him the shovel and made him work. All engine and no traction. I backed into my driveway uphill with no problem.

:bowrofl:

Man thats nothing. People down south are worse. In L.A. everything goes to hell in a handbasket when it rains. Wrecks everywhere and dingdongs doing 30mph on the freeway like its ice or something.

On the other end of the spectrum are the asshats that blow around on ice 'cuz "I got FOUR WHEEL DRIVE!"

We all have 4 wheel stop.

Or...the people who are still afraid to drive in the snow who do have a nice big Suburban with 4WD but don't know how to "turn it on"

Last winter, I helped some people who had no clue how to shift their SUV in 4WD.

What just blows my mind, especially years ago when it was much more "acceptable", is when the life-naive leave their car in lane 3 of 405 and walk away just because the driver couldn't take driving in the snow... At least the rash of abandoned vehicles on the freeways haven't happened in a while.

Chains on the rear wheels of a rice rocket was also a personal favorite...

I went snowshoeing for a few hours in the deep powdery stuff up off Mountain Loop yesterday. Road was mostly compact snow/ice a few miles past Granite Falls, and people were driving like complete MORONS. One guy we got stuck behind was bombing down the road with his four-ways on, flat left front tire, and still doing 40-50. There was the evidence of a accident at the Verlot ranger station, and a SnoCo deputy doing the paper for it.
