Strange, my handheld updated fine but I can't get my 163 to update... keeps saying no response from the scanner...

Did you try the other update? There are two, based on the loader version that you have. I downloaded the wrong one at first, and I was continually getting the same error...

There is boot version 1.00 and 1.01...

Here is a link to the ACTUAL upgrade notes... The ones posted at 1.08 are actually the 1.06...

Yup, I have the 1.00 loader, and I tried both packages, powered off/on, tried no power for 30 seconds... etc. but no joy. Happily I've noticed no problems with the scanner...

It woked fine for me on my 163 and 164 boot VER 1.01.

What does the update do for the 164. I have 10 of them I'd have to update.
