Radio Shack has reduced the everyday price of their digital scanners, Pro106/197 to $399 and offering a sale that is down to $349, however there is an online coupon http://www.radioshack.com/promo/index.j ... Id=4273822 for further savings of $45 and free ground. It has to be done online to get the $45 off plus free shipping. Wonder if the folks at GRE are designing a new digital scanner for fall based on the slimmer, i-Scan platform?

Hrm, thought I'd try this out and it's not taking the coupon on the PRO-106....

It does it on the checkout. At least it did for me when I entered a fake name like Joe Blough.

It gives an automatic 45 dollah off, if the purchase is $275 and above. I think you have to get to step 2 or 3 in the checkout.

You could order another one with the coupon discount price and return the 1st one for a refund when it comes. :D

Actually, I just called them and cancelled it. It hadn't been processed through yet, so I'll just re-order it and use the coupon.

Yup - my wife hates my current pro-164 in the car when it gets overloaded on signal, and I've noticed the psr-500 doesn't do this nearly as bad. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it to upgrade my in-car scanner :-)
