Lots of different models and lots of different features and reasons to buy a certain brand or model. I like my RadioShack Pro106 portable. -- It receives P25 digital -- and automaticilly decodes analog PL and DPL codes as well as P25 NAC codes. But the one new feature that I love is that while set in a "wildcard" trunked mode -- it decodes all Talkgroups -- and shows those active groups in realtime. It also allows a talkgroup to be entered in to a scan list -- as a "channel" or "object". I can go directly to a specific "Talkgroup" and monitor only that specific "channel". What feature does your scanner have that YOU like? What feature made you buy your scanner ??

Oddly enough, the exact same things (PSR-500).

I had an 'epic fail' moment during the Ellensburg meeting with regards to attaching the 500 to the computer.
