I want to use my laptop and remote head for my BCD996 at the same time in my car. I can't seem to find a cable with a DB15 Male to DB9 Female connection. I use the Serial port in the front of the scanner for the remote head so I can't use the USB-1 to Serial port connection offered by Uniden. I have searched the web for adapters and cables alike with no luck. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the feedback.

The rear jack is used for GPS and Cloning. Both the Remote Head and computer interface use the front panel jack, but not at the same time.

You can use the back port to control the radio using a null modem cable or spin your own very easily.
