Are the scanner blocked analog cell frequencies still in use for mobile phones?

negative ghost writer*, but you wont see scanners open it up any time soon this is one doodle that likely wont be un-did.

*for 99.99% of cell phone in USA at time of writing.

When you say "analog" you are talking about an emission method, not a frequency. So you can say for the frequencies, yes they are still in use, just no AMPS (well at least with any of the majors, there MAY be a straggler or two left out there), there is GSM, CDMA, and even some 3G stuff still at 800.
