Hi, "Rich" that would be my Dad's and one of my brothers name, this is just a thought on my end but how about a area, a permanent link here where we could upload and download our scanner files in a Win or Arc or what ever type format. what do you think about this? it would help new people here as well as the old timers here as we move about. just a thought

Its a possibility. Years ago we added the option for uploading/downloading scanner files and another option to program your scanner directly from our database. Both options were removed from the menu because they didn't see a lot of use. I can look into putting them back on the menu.

I think that it would be great users here uploading what they have and members here downloading it as a way to save time programing there own scanner for a road trip. thanks for all of your hard work here Rich that is free for all of us to use. this could be just a great benefit for all of us, what I had in mind is a area in the database here that just has files in any format just a collection of file's in any format, they could be broken down by the type of software for ease of programing, kind of a opened end free recourse.

On my end it sounds to good to be true.

Hi, Rich
Anymore thoughts on this, I think that this could be a great addition to this site, a place where we all could add what we have in any format.

Try uploading them to the wiki page for whatever county the file is set up to monitor.

I think this would be a great idea. Some thing I looked and looked for on this site and couldn't find. I was able to snag a file off Daron's website for my BCT15X and had a good jump start right from the get go.

It's easy to forget what us beginners go through getting our systems/frequencies set up. Anything to help that process along is much appreciated.

We could always sticky a message at the top of each state forum for posting scanner files. This might be easier than the wiki.
