Took a ride to the new Mt Vernon Walmart today.

154.600 (CSQ) was used by the manager and people at the 28 checkstands  One BIG Mother of a store. I searched for about 10
minutes and came up with no other freqs but there may be more.
Didn't hear anything about "Where are the Gummie Bears located?"So I suspect
there is at least 1 more in use considering the store has only been open a few days.

I did hear the local Burger King order window with people on both sides ordering
and taking the order in Spanish from the Walmart parking lot however. :D

The old store across I-5 is closed and the sign has been removed.

Jim, The WM might also use 154.57 or 154.54 for floor ops. I have located at least one store that used 151.925 data to control the automated "shopping cart" collector in the parking lots.

154.540 was what Burger King was using.

They were pushing the carts by hand in the parking lot.
In Bellingham they use 418.000 QUICKART 2000 CART PUSHER data.
Maybe they are too new to have any of those yet.

Didn't hear anything on 154.570 or 151.925.
I keep in all 27 of the Motorola VHF and 56 UHF in my scanner to look for business
stuff and nothing else popped up on those.

Will check again for more at a later date :D

I remember when the Bellis Fair Mall opened in Bellingham some 20 years ago
that college age people were wandering about with handhelds for the 1st 2 weeks
they were open.

I did a lot of searching and came up with nothing. Finally I took my "Scout" there and asked one of the people if I could look at their handheld.
Of course I keyed it up and "BUZZ" went the "Scout" in my pocket.
Later I looked at the read out and it was 152.930 a video production
freq that they use at the university here. Guess they borrowed the radios from
the university to do a roving fire patrol because the fire alarm system in the mall wasn't in operation yet.

During the end of the 1st day the mall was open all the toilets started to over flow
all over the mall. It seems they forgot to hook up the mall to the sewer line in
the rush to open on the day promised.

People can still be seen to this day walking around Bellingham with "T" shirts
that say " I Survived the Opening of Bellis Fair" :bowrofl:

The brilliant, shining new Wal-Mart opened up this morning! Wow, what a morning of listening to some of the dumbest shit I've heard in a long time. They are waaaay to proper for a Wal-Mart.

"Store Manager Kim to Assistant Manager Brandy."

"This is the GM door, I am in need of an electric shopping cart please."

Then as the morning went on, things went downhill fast...

"All my assistant managers this is store manager Kim, you need to break up the employee huddle around the podium and get those people on registers now please."

"Where's the distilled water?"

"This is the GM door, I now have two customers waiting for electric shopping carts and they've been here for a while."

And then someone brilliantly said, "How about if all the managers go to channel 2 and everybody else stay on channel 1?" I couldn't have moved to my radio, pen and paper faster...

Channel 1 - 154.570 (CSQ)
Channel 2 - 154.600 (CSQ)

I'll be working on the feed later today or tomorrow if all is still interested.

A MURS node via Echolink? Repeaters may be verboten, but nothing IIRC about remote bases...

The Wal-Marts in this neck of the woods are also either green dot or blue dot.

Up and running on the Live Audio page.

Consists of main floor channel and the "manager's channel."

This was incredibly easy to setup. I urge more people to do this so we can share the best of what we hear.

Enjoy all and let me know what you think.
