No.

You could try these:

Doubt you'll find much happening. It's been a "dead" system for years.

After playing with this a bit, it seems like signal strength plays a big part in solid decode. I just did a D-tap on my PRO-97 and I'm getting SFD pages perfectly, but having zero luck with ValleyCom. Of course, I'm just using the duck antenna. I'm going to try a different antenna shortly and see if that makes much of a difference.

Also, I read that VC pages in POCSAG 1200, but almost of the pages I see (and can hear) are coming across as POCSAG 512, with no message decode. Think that might be a signal strength issue? Prior to the D-Tap I was receiving a fair number of VC pages, albeit with jumbled and garbled text.

do VC have text pages? it could just be a pager code for alert type your picking up.

Are there new scanners coming out with D-Tap already available?

Yes, ValleyCom does their paging on 152.0075. I've decoded the pages in the past, just not having any luck now.

I'll try it and give it a shot.

Did you make the little RC filter for your d-tap? Well, I just looked up the Pro-97 instructions and others just recommend using a 10k resistor. So you may not need the capacitor. (I have a 10K and a .01uF cap with my Pro-2006 - which cuts off the bandwith to roughly 6k.)

Also be sure your PDW is set to the "discriminator" option in the setup.

PS. POCSAG decoding is 100% for me. Flex decoding is roughly 95%... I still get subtle errors with the Flex decoding. My mic input volume is set at 50% with NO mic boost. I've tried 25% and 100% but with more errors.

Have you tried the Line input?

Yeah, 10k resistor and I'm using the discriminator option in the setup...and as I mentioned SFD is 100%. I'm working today, but I'll play with it more tomorrow...

Excellent tip there Taco! It's decoding extremely fast now and almost perfectly. So far just one page has an error and it's been going for about 20 minutes. It's far more accurate than before.

EPSCA is on 931.2125 - at least Bellevue Fire is...

{0193263}

FYI, a lot of pagers from KCFIREMED are on this frequency as well. I believe EMS people... assigning of shifts, etc.

I spent a bunch of time checking the 900 pagers in 2004 and 90% of all the action is on 931.2125
