Cleaning up the King County page, fire section, can anyone confirm that Valleycom dispatches:

KCFD #26, Burien Fire
KCFD #40, Fairwood Fire
KCFD #2, Burien/Normandy Park Fire

I have that they dispatch:
  • Black Diamond
  • KCFD #2, Burien/Normandy Park Fire
  • KCFD #20, Skyway Fire
  • KCFD #26, Burien Fire
  • KCFD #40, Fairwood Fire
  • KCFD #43, Maple Valley Fire
  • KCFD #44, Mountain View Fire & Rescue
  • KCFD #47, Palmer/Seleck Fire Districts
  • Kent
  • King County Medic One
  • North Highline Fire Department
  • Renton
  • SeaTac Fire Department
  • South King Fire and Rescue (Federal Way, Des Moines)
  • Tukwila
  • Valley Regional Fire Authority (Auburn, Algona, Pacific)
  • Vashon Island Fire and Rescue

I also cleaned up the talkgroups to show what they're actually named.

District 26 doesn't exist any more. KCFPD #26 was Des Moines, but they merged with KCFPD #39 (Federal Way) a couple years ago to become South King Fire Rescue. Station 26 is now part of District 39.

KCFPD #40 has contracted with Renton since 3/1/08. They used to have stations 41 and 42. When Renton annexed the Benson Hill area effective 3/1/08, Station 42 became Renton Station 13. At the same time the contract for the rest of District 40 took effect and Station 41 became Station 17.

District 2 is Stations 28 and 29. Valley Com dispatches for all of the above.

Also some of your talkgroup info is wrong. Fire 3 for Valley Com is used for all routine fire and mva responses (basically everything non-EMS). Any major incident then goes to Fire 4, 5, 6, or 7, depending on what else is going on.

For the eastside talkgroups, Tac 8 is 31408, Tac 9 is 31440, and Tac 10 is 31472.

Also does valleycom dispatch all medics? I was under the impression each fire dispatch also dispatched the medic/MSO units in their area of control...

I don't remember anything about MSOs, but I know for a fact they dispatch medics.

It'd be nice if Enumclaw also had talkgroups rather than a ref to another page....

A few more notes on eastside fire:
22384 (Fire Disp 1) is the automated talk dispatch only AFAIK
22352 (Fire Disp 2) is primary dispatch for all north/east county units
I don't think I've ever heard traffic on 22320 (Fire Disp 3)
22288 is the link to AMR dispatch for shoreline/MI, etc
Tac8 is 31408, not 22000. It's also where the 154.190 link happens (i.e. dispatch for skykomish/snoq pass units)
I have 22000 as a training channel but don't think I've heard it used.

31856 is EFR admin channel
18576 is Redmond fire admin channel

You might also note that state ops 1 is used for large building incidents (non-repeated at 867.5375).

Thanks for doing this!

I thought Enumclaw was still on VHF, and the talkgroups were only activated when there was a VHF-800 link.

And thanks both of you for the updates; I'll put them in later today.

sorry, more info :-)

Station 83 for EFR also has a brush truck, don't know the number.
Also for a while 83 had a hazmat/technical rescue truck or something, I've not seen it recently.

Station 73 has Ladder 73. Not sure what else is there, that's all I ever hear dispatched from that station.

MSO 1 is dispatched on Valley Com. They are stationed in Federal Way.

Also Black Diamond is served under contract by Mountain View Fire and Rescue.

I think maybe I was unclear. I understand the medic units for Valleycom FDs are dispatched by valleycom, what I was asking is whether Valleycom is dispatching medic units for North/East King. I hear local medics (Medic 3, 47, etc.) and MSO units dispatched with Bellevue/EFR/Shoreline, etc. I was assuming they are dispatched by ESPCA but wasn't sure.

Just a couple of things.
First, you have put a lot of good information in the listing. It is appreciated.

Looking at things in the strict sense, Auburn FD and Pacific FD no longer exist. They all became part of the VRFA when that organization was formed. I noted that you had referenced the VRFA elsewhere. Pacific FD station 38 became VRFA station 38 and I believe the only equipment there is an engine company. If that is not correct would someone please advise.

When the annexation of Auburn's east hill took place, Mountain View station 91 became part of the VRFA as station 34. Again, to my knowledge this station is also has an engine company only. I don't believe Mountain View Fire and Rescue has renamed another station as station 91.

Valley Com does dispatch for the southend King County Paramedics. As also mentioned, they dispatch the MSO as appropriate.

Anyother changes that I am aware of have already been referenced.

Thank you for all of your work,

Wayne

Valley Com dispatches for all of the medics in Zone 3. Bellevue (soon to be NORCOM) dispatches for all of the medics in Zone 1. There are three fire departments that operate medic units in Zone 1.

Bellevue Fire
Medic 1 (Overlake Hospital)
Medic 2 (Station 2)
Medic 3 (Eastside F&R Station 87)
Medic 14 (Eastside F&R Station 73)
MSO 5 (Station 2)

Redmond Fire
Medic 19 (Station 11)
Medic 23 (Evergreen Hospital)
Medic 35 (Woodinville Station 35)
MSO 7 (old Medic 19 quarters behind Station 11)

Shoreline Fire
Medic 47 (Bothell Station 42)
Medic 63 (Station 64)
Medic 65 (Northshore Station 57)
MSO 6 (Station 63?)

Fire Dispatch 2 is a hailing talkgroup. Also 22320 was the old Fire Dispatch 3. It's from when the City of Issaquah had its own fire department and dispatch center before EF&R was formed. Issaquah used that talkgroup, but it's been dead for years.

I may be wrong but KCFD 11 is no longer as when it was changed to North Highline Fire Dept., the abolished the District 11. There is no longer a KCFD 26 (Des Moines) as that is now part of South King Fire along with the former KCFD 39 (Federal Way).

Apparatus updates for North Highline, KCFD 2 (Burien / Normandy Park) and South King Station 26 (formerly KCFD 26 / Des Moines) -

North Highline -

Station 18 - Engine 18, Engine 181, Aid 18, Air 18, Support 18, Training 18, Marshal 18, Chief 18, Battallion 18 (covers both North Highline & Buiren / Normandy Park)

Station 19 - Engine 19, Engine 191, Aid 19, Aid 191

KCFD #2 (Burien / Normandy Park) -

Station 28 - Engine 28, Engine 281, Aid 28, Boat 28 (Zodiac), Support 28, Training 28, Inspector 28, Marshal 28,
Chief 28, Chief 29, Battallion 18 (covers both North Highline & Burien / Normandy Park)

Station 29 - Engine 29, Engine 291, Ladder 29, Aid 281

South King Fire (Station 26) - Engine 26, Engine 261, Aid 26, Marine 26 @ Des Moines Marina, Medic 13

I think B touched on this....

The automated voice is Locution, and it's being used on FDISP-1. That is the PRIMARY dispatch talkgroup for Eastside Communications resources.

FDISP-2 is a hailing channel. Field units will use it to call Eastside in regards to status changes, cross-manning requests, and other stuff.
