Hummm.... It was on KOMO's website and now it isn't. Maybe newsguy can tell us why it was removed.

So basically what happened was that the FCC commissioner and 4 "experts" invited KOMO to an low income apartment in Seattle for a PR show that turned into a train wreck. The FCC wanted to show how easy it was to hook up a HDTV converter box to her TV. The FCC had some trouble and asked KOMO to stop taping twice, they did not. I think I even heard the cameraman snickering at the FCC a little. So 20 mins later they got it working. The big stick in the eye for this lady who lives in the apartment is that the FCC brought their own HDTV antenna and took it with them when they left. She made an comment that she couldn't afford the antenna and her HDTV converter box was useless without it.

Google confirms it WAS there... Here are the two entries I found but they weren't cached by Google by the time Komo took it down.

I would had a chuckle too if I was there!

I dunno, I've had some coworkers ask me about the converter boxes and I point out its no harder than to setup a VCR or DVD player 99% of the time. That other 1% means you have an different antenna or whatever going on.
