Sounds like you don't have the RadioShack book Police Call...ought to get it, but in meantime, here is where you can start ur search...
start at 146.62 and then every 20khz are the repeaters in the area...the strongest ones will be 146.88, 146.96, 147.200...
there is a second area of repeaters, starting about 145.13 and up to 145.39 or so...OK?
