North Shore 1 is the mobile command post of North Shore Rescue, located in North Vancouver, BC. Their primary frequencies are 158.865 (main disp), and 158.910 (ops). They are a ground search and rescue team, operating under the BC Provincial Emergency Program (PEP). The reason you can hear them is because most of their operations are in mountains (Seymour, Grouse, Cypress) and therefore the signal carries.
By the way, 150.625 is not a valid freq in BC.
