I live in Garland. I did the same thing as you. And I also use a mobile mount cell antenna I use. But no help on a base. I will be watching too.
If you need any help getting adapters cheaper than Radio Shack E-Mail me. I know a great place in richardson that has everything. It is a science shop off Central and Cambell.
Let me know if you hear how to modify these 200 XLTs. It can be done I knew a guy that had one.
