I had an R-10 for a year and a half and I just got fed-up with it. The scan rate is the biggest problem for me, it's around 2 channels a second. But if you want an SSB reciever, it works great hooked up to a long wire. I dumped mine and optied for the new R-2. The R-2 is small, has fast scan rate, and is very user-friendly. I bought mine at American Avionics at Boeing Field in Seattle for only $199.00, which is a great price. They have plenty in stock!
