The City of Edmonds has a VW bug that is used by the crime prevention unit. It was donated by Campbell VW and is more of a public relations "novelty" than it is a serious police vehicle. I don't think Edmonds will be using this in high-speed pursuits :).
: : saw a glimps of a new VW beattle painted up like a police car (grey ontop of dark blue) sporting a whellen red/blue neon minibar (2 or 3 cell). I couldn't see the antenna(s) well but i think it just had the 1 stock sweaped FM antenna comming off the back roof.
