I've seen them a few times, and frankly I think that they're too intense, particularly at night. The lights obviously get your attention, but they're so powerful it's almost temporarily blinding.
: Okay.... they are Whelen but they aren't the 9000 series. WSP is installing the Whelen B-Link system. The bars look similar to the 9000's but are fully computer controlled and programmable. For the red front/rear flashers they use LED's and the rest is regular strobe(computer customizable flash patterns). It's a much more expensive system but it's worth the price. The old LP6000 rotator lightbars they used only lasted about 3 years, these new systems will last about 10.
