Have you checked to see if any other scanners pick it up? I would suspect the scanners reciever has a problem rather then the simulcast channel.

: On my 780 I have found that the freq. 866.3375 seems to have an irritating "birdie"-like chirp whenever it goes active. Doesn't matter who is using it, nor where the receiver is, nor any other thing I can change locally. I was wondering if you had any "official" idea of what's causing this interference.
