As far as I can tell, there might not be any that can be done. I recently purchased one of these myself, and (warrantee to blazes) opened the puppy, to have a look inside.. the board is sparsely populated with mostly surface mounted items, but based mostly around what appear to be custom CPU chips. (I.E. an awful lot of empty space inside, for such a large package. there's even quite a lot of empty GND space on the PC board.) I would've loved to be able to connect this thing to my computer, or something.. (let the computer do a little work, writing down frequencies that had signals present.)
Such is life though... If anyone does find a mod, let everyone else here know.
