I live in Surrey, BC, and was wondering what brands of scanners are good. I want to buy a nice model (budget~$1000 CDN). My friend has an Alinco that is pretty nice. I want something that has a wide range of frequencies, for I might be moving south to the US in the next year or so, and I have heard that US scanners have some areas deleted from them?
