Yes. I have to admit I've only spent a couple of hours on it so far and did manage to get it to trunk on the control channel but I don't know if I can figure out how to do that again!
One thing different I have noticed is that I do hear an occasional morse ID come across the radio when listening to the Seattle system. I haven't been in the room when it comes across so I don't know where it's coming from, but the first two letters are cut off of the ID when I hear it.
I started programming in the radio freqs for the system the other night and notice that you have to enter the freq, press E, and ALSO press and hold TRUNK until it beeps. Then enter the next freq.
I have not had time to finish programming each radio freq yet though so don't know if I'm doing it right.
The manual is definitely NOT 'user friendly'.
The received signal is only about 90% quieting. I sure wish they could make the front end a bit more sensitive so the background hiss would be eliminated. I guess I can survive with it since I have in the past and it's not really that objectionable. (I'm running a commercial 850 yagi and hardline 30' with no multipath by the way).
At this point I DO like the radio and I'm looking forward to finding the right software to control it with.
