After watching the power debate for TPU on TV Tuesday, I saw the Tacoma City Council gave final approval to a plan for Motorola to build and operate a 800 MHz Trunked system for the cities Fire, Police, Tacoma Dome, and public works. The contract was valued @ $12.8 million over a 10 year lease. Council didn't even blink an eye after a 3 hour debate over millions in power costs. Hope there aren't any NexTel sites in the city limits...............
