The BC245 will ignore status bits as default, works as advertised. I
don't know about the ProXX's. The type-I trick (there's a page on this
site explaining it, if anyone remembers the URL) also works, and IDs
like 2xx-x are normal for type-II values between 163xx-245xx.

Probably the best way to learn the system, short of running Trunker,
is to leave the scanner is "search" mode and toggle between different
methods. That way you'll see what the scanner thinks the raw TG IDs
are, not how it converted them to the groups you programmed.
