This may sound silly but I have to share this with you....
I have a CB antenna ( with magnet ) hehe to use with my scanner when Im driving my truck.
The cb antenna works quite well even in the 800 mhz range and when it is not in use I bring it inside.
I do live near sea tac and get all of the airport freq's with it.
May sound silly but it works,, try that.
You will need a connecter ( CB shop will have one ) to put onto the coax, and the back of the scanner.
So for about 4 dollars, you can use what you may already have and get great reception too!!
