An inside source in KATU Engineering confirms these freqs. They also use the repeater freq in simplex mode, car to car, when crews are working together. Although, most reporters find it "easier" to pick up a cell phone ... They have a couple repeaters, but use the one on Goat Mt. mostly. (Good site)
They also carry NEXTEL, as they can legally key a NEXTEL in the air (helicopter) whereas they cannot use Cell up there. Most staff use UHF tho, they do not have NEXTEL companywide.
