Hi there, Kyle

You might as well save your gas. Since Bearcat scanners are
manufactered by Uniden based in the U.S. any scanners by them
up here are pretty much 'imports' so they have the same frequency bands blocked as you guys down there. The two main stores in
Vancouver that I've been to are Com-West radio systems at 1-604-
321-3200 and Dubberley's on Davie Ltd. at 1-604-684-5981. You
should probably phone them to make sure in case I'm wrong.

: : I am going to purchase the 245 xlt soon but was
: : wondering if there are non-cell-blocked versions
: : in Canada. Not terribly interested in monitoring
: : cell conversations (legal or not) but figured a
: : short drive might be worth it to have a bit more
: : functionality. IF so, does anyone have recommendations
: : for a place to buy one in the Vancouver area? Thanks!
