I would love it if you could do that. Don't suppose you could whip one up for the valley com site in the auburn area too.. That would be great.
: : Is it just my scanner,or has the Columbia Tower site been having some problems the last couple of days?Lots of static, poor reception, etc.
: >>
: No problems with Columbia Tower or Seattle simulcast during the reported time frame. We did some work 11/12 September that should not have affected outbound transmissions.
: I don't know where you monitor from, but I don't think I could find a place where you could say for absolute shure you would be listening to ONLY Columbia Tower. Columbia Tower is only one of several simulcast sites with overlapping coverage. I suspect you meant to say "Seattle simulcast" and not "columbia Tower."
: If you want to report an observation with meaningful information, you shoud give the following information:
: 1) Name of site or simulcast sub-system monitored.
: 2) Time of day (accurate time- ie WWV)
: 3) Frequency heard. If frequency is unknown, talkgroup number can help.
: 4) Location you monitored from.
: I am not saying I will follow up on all "problem" reports, but the above is required to do any follow-up.
: Since a lot of folks on this board seem to be quite confused over the differences between simplex, repeater, trunking, simulcast, SmartZone, talkgroup, and frequency, would anyone be interested if I put together and posted some basic explanations?
