Depends on a couple of things, mostly your antenna and the local
background noise level. HF signals go around the world (sometimes
more than once!) so it's just a question of separating the signal from
the interference. Going to an external (long wire) antenna might help.
Try WWV / WWVH on 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 MHz, or BBC on 5.975/6.175
(19:00 PDT) for strong-signal checks.
