: That's my point.. I would have ZERO problem if they would install 30 camars around town for the cops.. as long as it was made CLEAR when i voted on it. Lynnwood being a smaller city doesn't have much moeny to toss around and sometimes i think they make foolish choices.. me being a citizen, i would like to help to stear the council to choices that we (the community) feel are needed.. not a free for all at town hall.

: : : You talk as if there is something wrong with enforcing the law. Does it really matter if someone is caught by a cop or a camera? They are still breaking the law and maybe hitting or killing YOU!

: : Seems to me if they say the Police won't use it then the Police shouldn't be using it....Its lying to the taxpayers that paid for the cameras...

Sorry, but I DO have a problem with law enforcement on this one right now. Lynnwood isn't as bad as Shoreline. Check the poles there sometime, there's way more cameras up on poles there than would EVER be needed for traffic flow. This is all coming about since the Legislature sneaked through a bill which changed Washington State law to allow cops to give tickets on traffic infractions when the cop didn't witness it.

Drive 99 from Lynnwood to Seattle sometime and try to tell me that that's a reasonable expenditure of money.
