: According to a full page ad in the June 2000 issue of Mobile Radio Technology Magazine, the Washington State Department of Transportation operates an 800 MHz Trunked system with 39 channels. The ad shows a picture of a ferry employee talking on a handheld with the caption reading: "The WSDOT radio system covers ferryboat operations, where it's invaluable for loading and unloading thousands of cars per day." Sorry, but the ad doesn't list the 39 frequencies.
