I would like your recommendations for a base scanner antenna. I live in the D/FW metroplex so I spend alot of time listening in on 800Mhz trunked systems, 118.XXX+ Aircraft, and 450.XXX public service bands. I use a Bearcat 200XLT with a cellular phone antenna off an old cellular phone to pull in the 800Mhz range. Please recommend a good base antenna and if anyone has found a mobile/portable antenna that works well, I'd like to hear about that too.
