: When you pull the scanner apart and get to the
: main circuit board, you'll see a big chip labeled
: 'UNIDEN UC-1147A'. If the scanner is held in a
: vertical position, look directly to the left of
: the 'DEN' and you'll see either a small resistor
: with 3 stripes on it OR a small flat black resistor
: with '103' on it. Just take out the resistor or
: cut through it with small scissors, and that's it.
