ABC doesn't need the store front to stay in business at all. they repair commercial and agency radios to stay alive. Most all their business comes thru the back door. I was there 2 days ago.. Icom R-2 for $225!!! and it looks like the same one that was on display a year ago.. that NiCad packed with it must be hurting for a charge.
I didn't look at their truss prices.. do they do better at that? I know their prices are well under anyone else for small adaptors (SMA to anything.. blah blah).. but i do know of a stainless steel pressed adaptor from there that was a complete short between shield and center. Maybe his source is cheap for a reason?
: ABC does overprice everything. They want $199 for an Icom r2 and HRO sells them for $154. Their HF radios were $200-$700 more than everyone else. I wonder how they stay in business.
