I get your drift Brian, and trust, me some of the early traffic was tense and upsetting...but we are all big boyz here... and, enthusiasts. I don't see my grandmother on this site ever, nor lil guys or gals. But I understand, and will tell you right now, that I support the judgment call that was made to remove the links. I wouldn't have thought about posting that info early on, would have assumed that others could have found it for themselves if they needed to or wanted to or HAD to. I posted after the fact, and only when i saw most of the main routes falling off, and spent a fair amount of time sniffing out the remaining ones (Which are all down now too BTW) Having said that...This boards interests were a coast away from the NY tradgedy, and I AM NOT A TRUNKER or police fan like most who post here...and all though it was upsetting, I for one gained valuable insite into the way an agency deals with:
1) Being thrown into backup and having normal flow of traffic disrupted under extra-ordinary conditions
2)The seeming resilliency of the system under emergency load...and
3)I'm not gonna lie...MY INTEREST IN THE EVENT.
So many articles over the years in our trade publications have touched on "WHY DO WE DO THIS?" So many women in my life have looked at me like i was crazy at times and wondered "What is his obsession?" I never thought I would have to explain myself to you guys...lol...Happy Scanning
