Thought I throw this in... A friend of mine got pulled over near Circuit City & Babies R US. When the cop asked if my friend wanted to see the radar, the cop explained that he is able to lock on to cars from BOTH front and rear!!! Supposedly they have damn good range. We were stopped just short of the I5 on ramp and he could supposedly lock onto a car as far away as the Spaghetti Factory (dependent of the size of the vehicle). I don't know what the cross streets are, but I know that is quite a distance. He was driving a patrol car "traffic" on the side?, wasn't paying much attention, with no light bars on top.
