Is my scanner broken or was something wrong with the trunked system in Seattle? I'm downtown, with Columbia Tower frequencies plugged in. I'm scanning the main SFD and SPD channels and I just heard a long period (at least 20 minutes) of silence. I had the scanner on and wasn't really paying attention, and then I realized that I hadn't heard anything for a while.
Even on search, it didn't find any talkgroups with activity. It found the control channel, even after a power-cycle, but no active talkgroups. And I know the receiver was working because I could manually tune to a WX frequency. Then, just as suddenly as it stopped working, it started again.
Weird...
